The updates improve overclocking performance, DRAM compatibility, and sleep mode function

ASRock has rolled out new BIOS updates developed for its newly released Intel X99 chipset-based motherboards that improve overclocking performance, DRAM compatibility, and the sleep mode function, as well as the CPU Ratio function when BCLK overclocking.

In order to be clear, the producer has provided the 1.10 and 1.40 BIOS packages targeted at its Fatal1ty X99M Killer and X99X Killer devices, respectively, as well as version 1.10, 1.20, and 1.30 compatible with the X99 Extreme6, Extreme3, and Extreme4 motherboards.

When it comes to the X99 Extreme4 unit, ASRock has made available several BIOS versions at the same time, namely builds 1.30, 1.31M, 1.31P, 1.31V, 1.40.

Another important aspect that I should highlight is that, for each BIOS release, the producer developed 3 archives that describe different flashing methods: Instant Flash, DOS, and Windows files. However, all X99 Extreme4 device updates benefit only from an Instant Flash-related package.

In addition to that, bear in mind that not every package brings all the aforementioned changes. Each device receives specific improvements through a single BIOS archive. These enhancements are displayed on the description page of each downloadable file.

Moreover, if you intend to flash the X99’s BIOS, it is recommended that this task be performed in a steady power environment and by users that have the knowledge to successfully complete the upgrade.

That being said, from the links below, click the one that best describes your ASRock motherboard, save the desired file, and apply the latest BIOS version on your device.
