We reported yesterday on BlackBerry's plans to bring BBM 2.0 to Android and iOS platforms, but the application was not available for download at that time.

Less than 12 hours have passed since the official announcement of BBM 2.0 and now Android users can update to the latest version or download the new app via Google Play.

BBM 2.0 brings BBM Voice and BBM Channels, along with location sharing, 100 new emoticons and much larger BBM Groups, so users will now be able to chat and share with 50 people.

With the latest version of BBM, users will be able to quickly add photos, voice notes, files and attachments to their BBM chats directly from their smartphone or Dropbox account.

You can now download BBM for Android 2.0.0.13 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application is only compatible with devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
