14 DAY TRIAL // BlackBerry announced yesterday that it would offer an update to BBM for iOS and Android, which is meant to bring another new feature that’s already available for BlackBerry version.
However, the new feature is not the highly anticipated BBM Video, nor BBM Voice. Instead, BlackBerry announced Find Friends ability will be integrated within the BlackBerry Messenger application for Android.
The new feature allows the application to detect which contacts in one’s smartphone contact list are already using BBM. You will then be able to quickly send them an invite to join your BBM contact list.
Moreover, those contacts that do not yet use BBM will be able to receive an email or SMS invite that will tempt them into using the instant messenger.
You can now download BBM for Android 1.0.4.97 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind that the application should be fully compatible with most devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.
