BlackBerry has just announced it has updated the amazingly popular BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) application for Android devices on Google Play Store.

But dont't get your hopes too high, as this is just a bug fix release and it doesn't bring any of the new features BlackBerry promised it will offer Android users.

There's no BBM Voice or BBM Video yet, but we still recommend those who are using the application often to update to the latest version.

According to BlackBerry, the last update pushed to Google Play fixes many bugs, including an error that occurs while adding contact categories. That's all there is folks.

You can now download BBM for Android 1.0.3.27 for free via Softpedia. Keep in mind the application should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 4.0 and up.
