14 DAY TRIAL // Avira Mobile Security for iPhone has received a new update adding a “Recommended” section and enhanced text copy. The security software is free to download and use on any iOS 7 device.
Through its free iOS app, which contains no in-app purchases, Avira promises to offer “the protection and tools that will help you keep your iPhone, iPad or iPod secure, and your identity safe.”
The solution comes with a malicious process scanner and an identity protection tool. It doubles as a find-my-iPhone service with a Device Locate feature that allows you to pinpoint up to 5 connected/registered devices on a map. Avira Mobile Security also comes with the Avira Answers community. Version 1.4.3 comes with a 'Recommended' section and updated text copy.
Avira doesn't elaborate on the new additions, but it's reasonable to assume that the security of your iDevice will be strengthened following this update.
Avira Mobile Security supports over two dozen different languages, including English, Bokmål, Norwegian, Catalan, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, and many others.
To download Avira Mobile Security 1.4.3 users require a device that supports iOS 7.0 or later, including requires iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, and iPod touch fifth generation. Tablets are not supported natively.
