14 DAY TRIAL // Today, two new themes made their way on the long list of similar software available for download for all Windows 7 users interested in additional personalization options on their computers.
Dubbed Aqua Dynamic and Fauna Dynamic, these two themes will make use of RSS feed capabilities to pull images from the web and place them on the PC’s desktop background.
Basically, this means that they require an Internet connection so that new imagery arrives on computers when made available through Microsoft’s servers.
It also means that you will have to allow the theme to download attachments when prompted to do so. The themes are available for download for free, the same as the additional content that will be delivered to users' desktops.
The first of the two new themes, Aqua Dynamic, will enable all users to enjoy high-resolution images of waves, rivers and more.
“Churning seas, rushing rivers, and gracefully curling waves are just a few of the images you’ll get with this free Windows 7 theme. Water: powerful, serene, and dynamic, captured by our community of contributors in splendid color and form,” Microsoft explains.
The Fauna Dynamic theme will offer users the possibility to admire images of a variety of animals, including snakes, peacocks, giraffes and more.
“Critters of all kinds populate this free theme for Windows 7, including giraffes, whales, snakes, peacocks, and foxes. Download it now and you may see a few surprises, too. (Is that a teeny little snail riding on another snail?),” the theme’s description reads.
Images in this package are high-resolution too, the same as those offered through other dynamic themes that Microsoft made available for its users.
The Redmond-based company notes that only users of Windows 7 Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise, or Ultimate editions can benefit from these personalization features, yet those who installed Windows 8 on their computers should be able to enjoy them as well.
