14 DAY TRIAL // Rovio Mobile Ltd. has released Angry Birds Rio, an altogether new version of their popular puzzle platformer. The new release features the original Angry Birds as they are kidnapped and taken to Rio de Janeiro where they must help out members of their own species.
The game’s description reads: “What happens when everybody’s favourite fierce fowl get caged and shipped to Rio? They get very angry!”
As the story goes, “the original Angry Birds are kidnapped and taken to the magical city of Rio de Janeiro, where they eventually escape their captors and set out to to save their friends, Blu and Jewel – two rare macaws and the stars of the upcoming Fox motion picture, Rio.”
According to its developers, the game will delight players with unique twists from the upcoming film combined with the addictive physics-based gameplay of the original Angry Birds.
As usual, a list of key features is offered on the iTunes App Store. Those include two episodes with 60 new levels, new achievements, special hidden fruits which players must discover, and a “spectacular boss fight.”
