14 DAY TRIAL // Rovio Mobile Ltd. has announced the release of Angry Birds Halloween, a special edition of the immensely popular physics-based puzzle game.
“With Halloween fast approaching, we are excited to announce special treats for fans of Angry Birds - Angry Birds Halloween for iPhone and iPod touch and Angry Birds Halloween HD for iPad - are available on the App Store,” Rovio’s Ville Heijari writes at the company’s blog.
“Angry Birds has become a global phenomenon, and the new Halloween-themed games combine the game play of Angry Birds with Halloween treats like pumpkins, ghosts, ghouls and ghastly costumes,” Heijari asserts.
The special-edition game includes 45 levels, which, according to Rovio’s blogger, is three times more than regular updates.
“However, that’s not all there is to these special edition apps; every aspect of the game has been recreated in the spirit of Halloween, so expect new spooky theme music, hair-raising graphical themes, and puzzling pumpkin-smashing action,” Ville writes.
Available immediately for $0.99, Angry Birds Halloween requires iOS 3.0 or later and is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. The iPad version (Angry Birds Halloween HD) costs $1.99.
Rovio will also keep providing continuous free updates for Angry Birds, the company said.
Angry Birds Halloween is an iOS exclusive available on the iTunes App Store. The original game, Angry Birds, is also available to owners of an Android handset, or Nokia users.
