There have been only a few days since the latest Android 4.4.1 KitKat build for Nexus devices was spotted into the wild and now Google is already pushing its successor, the 4.4.2 version.

The new update will be reportedly fixing the flash SMS bug that some users have been complaining about in the last few days. The other enhancements you’ll be noticing if you perform the update are:

- Fix for cleaning the VM Indicator - Fix for delivery of the VM Indicator - Various additional software fixes - Security enhancements

So if you own a Nexus 7 2012 Wi-Fi or 3G / Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi or LTE or a Nexus 10, you can go ahead and download the upgrade, but you'll need to have either Android 4.4 or Android 4.4.1 installed beforehand.

If you don’t want to wait for the OTA update to arrive automatically on your device, you can head on to Softpedia and download the Android 4.4.2 update for your Nexus tablet.
