14 DAY TRIAL // Apple has released an update to users of its AirPort Express Base Station, AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Time Capsule. The new software delivers fixes for a number of user-reported issues, as well as the ability to show all wireless passwords in the "Equivalent Network Password" sheet.
In the Support section of its web site, Apple describes AirPort Utility 5.4.1 as the ideal setup and management utility for the AirPort Express Base Station, the AirPort Extreme Base Station and Time Capsule. “Use AirPort Utility to setup and manage the following products,” the company says, listing the above-mentioned devices. Apple encourages users to check Software Update in System Prefs. to get the latest information on AirPort software. Earlier this year, users of Time Capsule (Early 2009) or AirPort Extreme (Early 2009) were encouraged by Apple to check and see whether they had the newest version of the AirPort utility installed. Those who didn't were, and still are, advised to do so, to get the best results for “expected features” available with the respective Time Capsule and AirPort Extreme models.
