The folks over at Adobe have just delivered a new update for their Reader application for Windows Phone platform, which brings lots of new features and improvements.

The most important seems to be the ability to access files on OneDrive directly from within Adobe Reader. Adobe has confirmed that the latest update brings full OneDrive integration, so those using their reader will be able to access files on-the-fly.

But this is not the only important new feature included in this update. Developers have also confirmed that Adobe Reader users will be able to export PDF files to Word or Excel using the Adobe ExportPDF online service.

However, keep in mind that in order to export PDF files to Word or Excel, you will have to purchase the ExportPDF tool from within Adobe Reader.

Basically, with this new feature, you will be able to convert PDF files to DOC, DOCX, XLSX or RTF formats for easy editing.

Another useful tool that can be purchased within Adobe Reader is called PDF Pack and allows users to create PDF files using the online services of the tool mentioned earlier.

You will also be able to create PDF files from Word or Excel or Powerpoint, as well as convert images to PDF for easy sharing.

Aside from the new features introduced via this update, and for which you have to pay, Adobe Reader also offers lots of new features that are available for free.

For example, you can view and open PDF documents free of charge. It does not matter where exactly the PDF document is stored, either on the phone’s internal memory or on the SD card.

You can also search for specific text within the PDF page or zoom in/out with ease. Viewing password-protected PDFs and sticky notes is possible as well, along with the options to annotate and comment on PDF documents.

Although some users have already complained that they can’t open very large files, Adobe Reader still remains one of the most reliable mobile PDF readers for Windows Phone devices.

New Adobe Reader users should know that the application is available in English, Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish languages.

You can now download Adobe Reader for Windows Phone 10.4.0.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. The application is only compatible with devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
