Update to get a brand new editing experience with a fresh look for iOS 7

Believe it or not, major software vendors such as Yahoo, Microsoft, and Adobe are still rolling out updates with UI tweaks to match the look and feel of iOS 7 more than half a year after Apple debuted the mobile operating system. In the case of Adobe, Photoshop Express just got its flat iOS 7 overhaul.

Adobe Photoshop Express 3.3 was released earlier today featuring new editing tools and “a new look for iOS 7,” according to the release notes.

It is often that novice developers will be the first to jump on a redesign bandwagon, as was the case with the completely revamped iOS 7, while the biggest software vendors will take their time making the necessary adjustments.

There can be any number of reasons for that, from peace of mind that they already have a huge install base, to the coding aspect (which may require more work for apps like Photoshop), but one thing is for sure: Adobe didn’t seem to be in a hurry to implement the latest UI tweaks to match Apple’s mobile software.

Other new features in Adobe Photoshop Express include the ability to share your works via Instagram or SMS, pet-eye / green-eye correction (as shown in one of the screenshots above), navigation improvements (including Tool Tips and a better Photo Picker), bug fixes, and the usual round of performance improvements.

Also noteworthy, you no longer have to bother your head with manual saves, as the app resumes where you left off.

“Photo editing was never so fun, fast, and easy. Touch your way to better-looking iPhone pictures using slide bar adjustments, or let automatic one-touch fixes and filters do it for you,” says Adobe.

The free app not only lets you do all of the above, but you can also select photos for printing. You can order a photo book from Walgreens featuring all your best works.

Although it’s a free download with its most basic features, Photoshop Express comes with a few in-app purchase options for extra camera packs, border packs, Revel integration, etc. Customers looking to restore or transfer previous in-app purchases to a new device need to go to Settings > Purchase in Photoshop Express and tap Restore Purchase.

Download Adobe Photoshop Express 3.3 on any device running iOS 7, including iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPad second generation, iPad third generation, iPad fourth generation, iPad Air, iPad mini, iPad mini with Retina display, and iPod touch fifth generation.
