Adobe has released a new version of Kuler, the company’s free app that enables iPhone users to extract color themes from the world around them using the iPhone camera. The new build lets you share themes via Facebook, among other things.

You can use Kuler to extract color themes from your surroundings, as well as from images in your camera roll, photo stream, or Flickr.

“Adobe Kuler is a fun and simple way to capture inspiring color combinations wherever you see them,” says the Photoshop maker. “Simply point the iPhone camera at something colorful and Kuler will instantly extract a series of colors.”

Users can share themes with friends through social networks and email along with the image that inspired the theme in question. Creative Cloud users can find their themes in the Kuler panel in Adobe Illustrator CC or Adobe Ideas, and they can sync color themes with the Kuler web site.

Version 1.2 allows users to share themes through Facebook (along with the originating image, as noted above) and includes “UI improvements related to share and settings features [and] bug fixes to improve stability and syncing capabilities.”

Download Adobe Kuler 1.2 on any iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad running iOS 6.0. The app is tailored specifically for small-screen devices, like iPhone and iPod touch.
