14 DAY TRIAL // Bad Robot Interactive has prepared a new content update for fans of its Action Movie FX application, adding new effects in a special Star Trek theme.
Action Movie FX 2.5 features Star Trek Into Darkness. No, not the movie (it’s not even out yet), but some effects, models, and assets from the actual film, all created by Industrial Light & Magic.
Users will be able to unlock Transporter, Warp, Phaser Fight, Enterprise Flyby, and Photon Torpedoes for free.
The company plans to donate 100% of the proceeds from the Star Trek pack (TRANSPORTER & WARP!) to support post-9/11 veterans.
Users also get a one-step update to HD for all their previously purchased effects, and re-size and placement controls for iPhone users.
Action Movie FX is compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation), and iPad. The app requires iOS 5.0 or later.
