Agile Web Solutions has released what can be considered a major update for 1Password users, although the version number doesn’t indicate this is a big release. There are three new features to be had with 1Password 3.0.2, tons of other changes, and just enough bug fixes to keep customers going until next year.

Talking about the new features in 1Password, Agile reveals that users can now save criteria as a smart folder when performing an Advanced Search. The Cmd-S keyboard shortcut now saves changes and exits edit mode as well.

The new version now allows [domain] token in identity email address, as well as the editing of username and password when no field is designated as such. Also changed, the 1PasswordAgent process is now forced to run in 32-bit mode under Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. The new version also improves compatibility with the Evernote Clipper button in the Safari toolbar. The rest of the changes can be found here, in the full changelog.

The bugs fixed in this release include (highlights):

- Fixed a problem where data changes made in 1Password were not immediately visible in the browsers. - Fixed crash that could happen on launch when there are certain tag values in the data file. - Fixed bug introduced in BETA-2 preventing editing of concealed password fields. - Fixed crash in attachments view under Leopard 10.5.8. - Fixed advanced search in shelves under Leopard 10.5.8. - Fixed cropped save button in Leopard 10.5.8. - Fixed exception thrown viewing smart folder when keychain is locked. - 1PasswordAnywhere: Can now reveal passwords that contain special characters. - Preferences are now honored as to whether or not thumbnails will be downloaded after editing Logins.

“This is a recommended update and is free for all licensed 1Password 3 users,” Agile says. To update to the latest version of the software, use the link below.
