Dovado has outed a new firmware package developed for its DOMA, GO, PRO, and Tiny routers, namely version 7.2.8, which adds compatibility with Huawei’s E3131-H2 3G and E3272 (Airtel) 4G USB modems.

If updated, this release also resolves the connectivity issues encountered with ZTE MF93D and MF190 mobile hotspots, as well as with Sierra AC760S and AC745S air cards, improves compatibility with Huawei’s E398 4G USB modem.

In addition to that, the failover feature will behave properly in connection tracker, the network preferences won’t be so doubtful regarding some Huawei devices, and the SMS forwarding function will now work fine.

Moreover, firmware version 7.2.8 also allows users to send e-mails even though the server requests TLS authentication, and fixes errors with SMS command status on some LIM modems.

As for installing this update, save and unzip the appropriate downloadable archive for your specific Dovado router, log into the device’s webUI, and then go to Upgrade > HTTP Upgrade section.

From there, choose the “Browse” button, navigate and select the newly extracted .bin file (firmware file), click “Start HTTP Upgrade,” and wait for the router to apply the new software. This process should take up to 3 minutes to complete, so do not to use the device until it’s updated.

That being said, download Dovado Router Firmware 7.2.8 for the proper device model, take into account all aspects described above, apply the package, and enjoy the changes that this new release brings about.
