KS Mobile is enjoying a great deal of popularity with its Battery Doctor app amid a growing number of reports that iOS 7 (and its subsequent updates) is draining iPhone users’ batteries faster than normal.

The #2 free app in the App Store today, Battery Doctor is described by developer KS Mobile as the “must-have battery management app.” It’s really not surprising that people will try anything to get a boost in battery life these days, considering the issues reported with iOS 7.1 and iOS 7.1.1 firmware builds.

Battery Doctor promises to accurately estimate the amount of time you have left on your device for all types of usage, boost the speed of your device, notify you when you should begin and end a proper charge cycle, list the most battery-draining apps, and offer helpful hints for proper battery maintenance.

It even includes a weather app, as well as links to other apps in the app store, something Apple normally doesn’t allow. Considering its jack-of-all trades nature, Battery Doctor should have been debunked a long time ago, yet customers appear to be very pleased with its functionality, giving it raving reviews, especially after the last update.

Version 2.1 includes a new memory boost feature and faster startup speed, along with some assorted bug fixes. Download Battery Doctor and try it out yourself.
