Some concept art pieces reveal a dark, futuristic city setting

A little piece of concept art unveiled on CGHub started rumors about a new, unannounced project that may be in development at Double Helix Games.

Double Helix have created a name for themselves over the years, by putting out high-profile titles such as Silent Hill Homecoming, Green Lantern: rise of the Manhunters, Battleship and Killer Instinct.

But now it seems like the studio is working on an unannounced IP, according to these pics on AllGamesBeta.

The art seems to portray a dystopian sci-fi setting that reminds of the dark future William Gibson had in store for humanity. The city's lights are always on because the sky is always gray, and as technology progresses cityscapes gain an increasingly industrial, bleak appearance.

The cityscape is dominated by massive megablocks of living quarters akin to those in Judge Dredd and Blade Runner, and the streets seem overcrowded, armed military presence being an ordinary occurrence.

No official information is yet available, but Double Helix's upcoming development definitely seems to be interesting, to say the least.
