Kim Dotcom’s new project, Mega.co.nz may have millions of users, but a lot of these come looking for a certain type of files, namely iOS devices jailbreak files.

Launched in the middle of January as a completely legal file-hosting website, Mega.co.nz managed to reach three million members in less than a month, TorrentFreak points out.

Around the same time, a group of hackers calling themselves the Evad3rs, released the Evasi0n jailbreak for Apple devices, including iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini and iPod Touch.

They also chose to host their files on Kim Dotcom’s new website.

Three months after the launch, the two websites rely on each other for traffic. According to a graph, Evasi0n.com supplies nearly 5% of Mega.co.nz’s web traffic.

Google is the only referrer to send more traffic to the website.

The service is mutual, however. Of all Evasi0n.com users, 8.3% have visited Mega.co.nz directly before.
