Valve teases the next hero in Winter Wyvern artwork

The next hero that's set to appear in Dota 2 from Dota 1 could be Zet the Arc Warden, at least judging by the concept art shared in honor of Winter Wyvern on the official website, although nothing is certain with Valve.

Dota 2 has been around for quite a few years, but despite constant updates from Valve, the full hero roster from Dota 1 has yet to be transferred into Dota 2. After the release of Winter Wyvern earlier this week as part of the New Bloom Festival 2015, only two more characters remain in the old experience – Arc Warden and Pit Lord (aka Abyssal Underlord).

Zet could soon appear in Dota 2

Now, after combing through the concept artwork released in honor of Winter Wyvern, users on Reddit have found a shadowy figure that could be Zet the Arc Warden.

As you can see above in the image, and below in the animated gif, the shadowy figure matches a concept art piece showed by Valve at The International 4. The artwork wasn't explained at that time, so users thought that it could be an early drawing of Enigma, a hero that's already inside Dota 2.

Now, it seems that it could be the final version of Arc Warden.

As such, it's possible that the next major update for Dota 2 will bring Zet and leave Abyssal Underlord as the last Dota 1 hero that has yet to transition to the new game.

Valve has a particular habit of hiding upcoming heroes in the concept art of major updates, as users already spotted Winter Wyvern in the images for last year's Shifting Snows update. As such, it's not that far-fetched to see the next hero coming to Dota 2 in the images of the latest character.

As always, Valve isn't commenting on the rumor, and it probably won't, given its secretive nature.
