Dota 2 has received a fresh update earlier this week, and developer Valve has just posted a few more details about the two new tutorial experiences that have been added to the multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) title.

Valve's Dota 2 has been in development for quite some time and has just recently exited the closed beta stage, as almost all Steam users can access the online experience.

While there are many hardcore players who know the ins and outs of the multiplayer game, there are still quite a few beginners who just want to try it out before committing to serious matches.

In order to help those who are new to the experience, Valve has continuously added fresh tutorials to the game via updates.

A fresh training lesson has just been implemented through the latest patch, where players are forced to control Sniper and defeat Tidehunter, while a limited hero mode can also be accessed.

"Play as Sniper in an all new lesson and defeat Tidehunter as you learn more advanced game concepts," Valve said on the Dota 2 blog.

"Also introduced is the Archronicus, a tome of knowledge containing various artifacts and lore from the Dota universe, which are revealed by completing additional training lessons. Who knows what words of forbidden power are contained within?"

"Afterwards play the new Limited Hero mode where players choose from a pre-selected set of 20 heroes, designed to help introduce you to the wealth of mechanics Dota has to offer. You can play offline, with friends, or match make with similarly skilled players in the Dota 2 community allowing you to learn at your own pace. We hope this mode will provide a good training ground for new players that are ready to experience the game that is Dota 2."

Dota 2 is becoming more and more popular, and Valve pledges to continue helping new players enter the online experience.
