It’s been less than a week since Valve delivered the last Dota 2 update, but it’s been a lot more than that since developers added a new hero into the mix.

Today is the day that Valve introduces a new character, Rigwarl the Bristleback. Although at first glance this might seem a weak hero, those who underestimate him are making a big mistake.

Bristleback is a quillboar with four dangerous powers: Viscous Nasal Goo, Quill Spray, Bristleback and Warpath.

The Viscouse Nasal Goo covers a target in snot, causing it to have reduced armor and movement speed. Keep in mind that when casted on the same target it has cumulative effects.

With Quill Spray, Bristleback sprays enemy units with quills dealing area of effect damage. This power can deal up to 30 extra damage for every time the unit was struck by a quill in the last 10 seconds.

When using Bristleback skill, the hero covers his back in spines, causing him to take reduced damage. In addition, he will automatically release a quill spray whenever his rear receives 250 damage.

Last but not least, Warpath seems to be the most dangerous of the four, as everytime Rigwarl casts a spell he can enter into a fury and his movement speed and damage increase on repeated spell casts.

Aside from the newly introduced hero Valve made a lot of balancing adjustments, which are meant to improve the overall gameplay experience.

- Broodmother: Fixed Insatiable Hunger cooldown on level 1 and 3. - Dragon Knight: Fixed Dragon Blood armor bonus not carrying over to Illusions. - Dragon Knight: Fixed Elder Dragon Form frost slow getting dispelled when target initially becomes Magic Immune. - Doom: Fixed Doom damage being blocked by Pipe. - Enchantress: Fixed Nature's Attendants lasting 1 second less than intended. - Huskar: Fixed Life Break leap moving too fast. - Magnus: Fixed Shockwave hitting units behind you.

These are only a few of the changes included in this update, but for full details make sure you check out the official announcement here.
