Dota 2 is going to receive its special New Bloom Festival 2015 in-game event soon, and Valve confirms that it will also pack into the update the 6.83c gameplay patch, which brings some much needed nerfs to heroes like Axe, Juggernaut, Vengeful Spirit, or Lion, who've become very popular in the current game.

The New Bloom Festival of 2015 marks the Chinese New Year and Valve has already asked fans to contribute with item sets for their favorite heroes, while the studio itself worked on major aspects like the Winter Wyvern hero or the Crystal Maiden Arcana.

6.83c brings nerfs to Juggernaut, Axe, Vengeful Spirit, and more

Besides those great additions to the game, the new event is also going to bring forth, according to the official website, the 6.83c gameplay patch that includes quite a few much needed reductions in power and damage for popular heroes like Juggernaut, Axe, Vengeful Spirit, or Lion.

First up, Juggernaut's ability growth has been reduced to 2.4 from 2.85, his Healing Ward mana cost has been increased for the first few levels, while Bladefury now has a scaling mana cost instead of the flat 110, as it is currently.

Axe's Berserker's Call no longer affects invulnerable units, like those caught in a cyclone, and no longer keeps targets disabled if Axe dies while the effect is still applied. His Culling Blade kill threshold has also been changed, from 250/350/450 to 250/325/400. Aghanim's Scepter values also change from 300/450/625 to 300/425/550.

Vengeful Spirit's Wave of Terror lasts just 15 seconds, as opposed to 20, while Lion's Hex unit movement speed has been modified to 140, the same as the hex applied through the Scythe of Vyse.

Last but not least, 6.83c enables Phantom Lancer in Captain's Mode, meaning that he can be selected in competitive matches.

Other general gameplay changes include improvements to pathing, a countdown timer before a pause is instated, and a few other tweaks that you can check out below.

The New Bloom patch for Dota 2 is expected to appear at the end of the week or next week.
