Valve has released a balancing patch for its most successful game, Dota 2

Dota 2, Valve's own take on the famous Dota mod for Warcraft 3, has just received a new update bringing various fixes and a few new features.

The Dota 2 phenomenon is sweeping the globe and this game is the most played title on Steam, which says quite a lot about its popularity. Now Valve has issued another patch that should take care of some small problems.

According to the changelog, the Neutral Ensnare is now proccing Linken's Sphere, the Captain's Mode default team name display has been fixed, a visual bug showing an incorrect number of Battle Points received at the end of the game has been fixed, and an “Edit Official Player Info” button has been added on the personal profile for professional players.

Also, the game is no longer counting players as leavers if the game ended while gameserver connectivity to Steam was disrupted, a chest slot has been added to the Wraith King, and two new Treasures that include various new items have been added.

Dota 2’s Linux minimum system requirements are Ubuntu 12.04, dual-core processor from Intel or AMD at 2.8 GHz, 4GB RAM, 8GB hard drive space, nVidia GeForce 8600/9600GT, ATI/AMD Radeon HD2600/3600 (Graphic Drivers: nVidia 310, AMD 12.11), OpenGL 2.1, and OpenAL-compatible sound card.
