Valve has rolled out the official video for its New Bloom Festival 2015 event for Dota 2, offering footage of a higher quality with the new game mode while hinting at major surprises besides the new game mode or the addition of new hero Winter Wyvern.

Dota 2 is one of the most popular free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena titles out there, as tens of millions of people enjoy the game every month. Valve has made sure to roll out quite a few updates in recent months, but unfortunately for veterans, traditional events like Diretide for Halloween or Frostivus for Christmas no longer returned, as Valve explained that it was working on a major overhaul for the game.

The official New Bloom Festival 2015 teaser trailer is here

However, the 2015 edition of the New Bloom Festival is still coming, and after sharing an enigmatic teaser trailer yesterday during grand finals of the Dota 2 Asian Championships, Valve has now rolled out the official version of the video.

As you can see in the footage below, which has a higher visual and audio quality, the new event brings back the Year Beast game mode but with a major addition, as players will be able to tame the mythical creature, instead of just fighting it endlessly for rewards.

On the official website, Valve also teases that plenty of big surprises are in store for Dota 2 players, which will be revealed in the days to come.

"The New Bloom Festival is almost here, and with it the dreaded Year Beast. But there’s so much more in store."

As you can see in the video below, besides the Year Beast game mode, the trailer confirms the introduction of Winter Wyvern, one of the last Dota 1 heroes that haven't made the transition to Dota 2, but also hints at other surprises like an Arcana item set for Crystal Maiden. More ice-based heroes, such as Ancient Apparition, Tusk, or Lich are also depicted with new weapons or cosmetic items, so it seems that the event won't forget about them.

The video represents just part 1 of the New Bloom event, so expect more goodies to be shared in the following days.
