14 DAY TRIAL // A brand new update has just been released by Valve for its popular Dota 2 game, this time bringing a few smaller tweaks to the Year Beast Brawl mode, while adding the first New Bloom Treasure, and a few other enhancements.
Dota 2 received its long-awaited New Bloom Festival of 2015 last week, which included a new hero, in the form of Winter Wyvern, as well as a new Arcana set for Crystal Maiden, not to mention a wide array of other goodies and tweaks for the actual multiplayer experience.
Since then, quite a lot of different patches have been rolled out by Valve in order to fix complaints about the Year Beast Brawl mode, which is included in the game throughout the New Bloom Festival, but also many other things, like pathing.
A new update brings a few tweaks and a new treasure
Now, a brand new patch has just been released by Valve for Dota 2, which once again brings tweaks for the Year Beast Brawl game mode. Chief among them is the fact that the Global Active Abilities now scale based on game time, similarly to how the passive upgrades of the beast do.
As such, Thundergod's Wrath deals 125 damage until the 10 minute mark, then grows to 250 between 10 and 20 minutes, and then to the maximum of 375 damage.
Global Chakra now restores 60%, 80% and then 100% after the 20 minutes mark. Hand of God heals from 200 to 300 and then 400 health, while Global Silence lasts 4, 5, and then 6 seconds.
What's more, the patch removes the option to use the global active abilities while the game is paused.
New bug fixes and a fresh treasure are available
The fresh Dota 2 update also fixes the Keeper of the Light Illuminate ability, as custom spirit models now appear when custom Illuminate is used within Spirit Form. Those who own High-DPI displays, aka those with 4K resolutions, will be able to natively play Dota 2, however they need to have Windows 8.1 or later as their operating system.
Last but not least, the patch brings support for the New Bloom Treasure of the Ram's Renewal chest. It includes great sets for heroes like Vengeful Spirit, Keeper of the Light, Queen of Pain, Luna, Nyx, Axe, or Sven, as well as an extremely rare courier.
Alternatively, you can buy a lower-priced Charm of the Ram's Renewal, which can be used to predict victory in all-pick games. Predict three correct outcomes and you'll get a free Treasure of the Ram's Renewal plus an ultra-rare chance of receiving an Arcana set.
