After quite a few days of radio silence, Valve has unveiled the next batch of details about the Dota 2 Foreseer's Contract update, which includes quite a few new things, like a new hero in the form of Oracle, an Arcana customization set for Phantom Assassin, and much more.

Dota 2 is one of the most popular free-to-play experiences out there, featuring 100+ heroes and varied mechanics and many great eSports competitions. The game is also maintained popular by developer Valve, which releases constant updates to ensure that the gameplay is as balanced as possible.

The next big update, Foreseer's Contract, has more details

Now, the studio has ushered in day 2 of the Dota 2 Foreseer's Contract update on the official website, which includes quite a lot of new things for the actual game, starting with Oracle, a new hero that finally makes the transition from Dota 1 to the new iteration of the MOBA experience.

First up, there's a new description of the upcoming hero, hyping up his abilities that deal with protecting foes and attacking enemies while delaying damage.

"Oracle has come to let you seize the fates of both friend and foe. Weave your power into a harmful bolt that stops your enemies and removes helpful auras. Or render an ally resistant to harmful magics. Combine either approach with your double-edged purifying flames, and you'll have all you need to aid or destroy. Still in danger? Delay an ally's doom with a false promise, and give them the time needed to see their destiny to its fullest. As Oracle, the future is always in your hands," the studio explains.

Oracle's abilities are unchanged from Dota 1

Valve also explains each of Oracle's four skills, starting with Fortune's End, which allows the hero to channel and send forth a bolt of energy that stops and removes buffs from enemies. The second skill is Fate's Edict, which briefly renders a target immune to magic damage, while boosting damage from other sources, like physical, and removes their ability to attack. It can be used both on enemies or allies, so take care.

The third ability is named Purifying Flames, which instantly burns a friend or foe and then heals them slowly over time. Last but not least, the ultimate ability is named False Promise, which grants an ally invisibility, while moving and attacking. Any damage or healing they receive will be delayed until the spell ends.

The new Foreseer's Contract update will receive its day 3 portion in the following days, in classic Valve fashion, so it's unclear when the patch is actually going to appear.
