Valve has just revealed in what ways two of its Dota 2 heroes will be reworked in the upcoming patch 6.82, detailing the many changes coming to Bloodseeker and Phantom Lancer.

Dota 2 is one of the most popular free-to-play games nowadays and Valve has made sure to listen to the community constantly by releasing updates modeled after the feedback from professional and regular players.

The next big patch, the Rekindling 6.82 update, was just confirmed earlier today and now some big details have appeared on the official website about two of the reworked heroes, in the form of Bloodseeker and Phantom Lancer.

Bloodseeker gets a new ability and an overhauled one

The first hero to get a rework in the new update is Bloodseeker, as Valve has decided that some tweaks are necessary to make him more balanced yet still powerful.

The Blood Bath skill has been replaced with a new one called Blood Rite. This is an area of effect ability that causes Bloodseeker to silence and damage enemies in a certain zone after three seconds of its casting.

Bloodrage has also been overhauled to deliver an easier to comprehend effect. Instead of silencing a hero, increasing his damage and dealing damage at the same time, the new ability just amplifies all damage taken or dealt, including via spells. A hero affected by the new Bloodrage who kills a unit will be healed for 25% of the dying unit's maximum health. Those who are killed when under the Bloodrage buff will heal their killer by 25% of their max health.

Other abilities, like Rupture or Thirst, have also been tweaked, so players who are picking Bloodseeker after the new patch appears will have to pay attention to their new tooltips.

Phantom Lancer has new skills

Phantom Lancer has also received a lot of love and care from Valve, with plenty of reworked and all-new abilities. These include Phantom Rush, which is a passive skill with a cooldown that triggers when issuing an attack order on an enemy outside of attack range. It grants bonus movement speed and Phase effect until Lancer or his illusions hit the target.

Doppelganger is a new ability that has an area of effect and causes Phantom Lancer and his illusions to disappear for one second and reappear with their positions shuffled. It also causes two illusions of opposite themes to appear, further confusing foes.

Juxtapose is now his new ultimate ability, which allows Phantom Lancer and his illusions the chance to create a new illusion when attacking.

As of yet, it's unclear when the new Dota 2 6.82 update will be launched.
