DotA or Defense of the Ancients is one of the most popular custom made maps for Warcraft III. To allow players a better understanding of this complex and sometimes intricate game here is a hero guide.

Whenever you need a good pusher, a stunner with a large AoE or to sum it up: a good team player, you should look at the Neutral Strength tavern for Magnus, the Magnataur.

Hear his story and tremble! "Maybe the most tremendous being on the Scourge, Magnus is a power to be reckoned with. Trained from birth to become a potent warrior, he is now at the peak of his strength.

The Magnataur's giant axe can cleave paths through his enemies, and create a bone-breaking shockwave that ripples through the ground. Further strengthened by a demonic magic that enhances his attacks, he can crush enemies with shocking ease.

His greatest power, though, is the ability to create an immensely strong magnetic field, sucking in helpless foes to meet their end."

Magnataur's spells make him one of the best nukes in the game, providing constant support to team-mates and dealing a massive amount of damage:

- Shockwave (shortkey W) - When using this spell a wave of force ripples out from the Hero, causing 75/150/225/325 damage to land units in a line. If a unit exits and enters the area of effect it will be damaged two times.

- Empower ( shortkey E) - Can give an allied unit bonus damage 15%/25%/35%/45% and Cleave 15%/25%/35%/45%, for 30 seconds. Only increases base damage and the damage given by the primary attribute of the units. Raw bonus damage is not increased.

- Skewer (shortkey D) - Magnataur rushes forward, goring enemies on his massive tusks and dealing 70/140/210/280 damage. Hits up to two units max. Charges up to 800 range max. Units hit will be stuck with you until you reach your targeted point, at which point they will be slowed by 40% for 2 seconds.

- Reverse Polarity (shortkeyV) - Through some unknown property of matter, the Magnataur sucks all nearby enemies to a location in front of him and stuns them with a powerful slam 2.5/3.25/4, dealing damage 150/225/300.

Although rarely picked, Magnus is a physical DPS monster which is the horror of each low-HP hero. With his perfect skill synergy he's able to make easily double, tripple and even ultra-kills.

He gets stronger the longer the game proceeds because he needs some items to unlock his full potential. If you have any other suggetions please let all the DotA fans know in a comment.
