DotA Guide: Knight Davion - The Dragon Knight Introduction

DotA aka Defense of the Ancients remains one of the most popular custom made maps for Warcraft III. To allow players a better understanding of this complex and sometimes intricate game here is a hero guide.

As the name suggest, this hero breaths fire, so it's cool. But that's not the only thing great about him. This hero can kill enemy after enemy until an entire team is decimated, even at level 11 (lvl 2 Elder Dragon Form). You can get him from the Neutral Strenght Tavern.

Let's take a quick peak at this hero's background: "Abandoned and forsaken as a child, the Half-bred Dragon Davion sought refuge from the evils of the world, and from the uncontrollable power growing within himself.

His search led him to the doorstep of a mighty Druid, who taught him to tap into the massive energies that lay concealed in his blood - a tribute to his ancient Draconian heritage.

A master swordsman, Davion smites his foes in his raging frenzy - transforming at will into an Elder Dragon of destructive fiery rage to crush all those that threaten to vanquish his new home."

As far as spells go, the Dragon Knight has a deadly combination of three active skills and one passive. His ultimate in particularly is very powerful!

- Breathe Fire (Shortkey F) - Breathes fire at enemy units which deals 75/150/22/300 damage. The cooldown for each level is 12 seconds.

- Dragon Tail (T) - Knight Davion bashes a melee-range enemy target with the fury of a dragon`s tail swipe. Stuns the target 2.5/2/75/3/3.25 and deals minor damage 25/50/75/100.

- Dragon Blood (Shortkey D) - Grants Dragon Knight blood from his ancient ancestral dragon heritage, which increases health regeneration 2/3/4/5 and armor 2/4/6/8.

- Elder Dragon Form (Shortkey R) - Transforms the Dragon Knight into a powerful elder dragon green/red/blue. Gives 25 movement speed boost. Lasts 60 seconds.

A Green Dragon gives additional 25 movespeed, and has a “corrosive attack” that slows an unit and deals 20 magical damage per second for 5 seconds. The corrosive damage won’t stack. Corrosive Breath will work on towers.

A Red Dragon gives additional 25 movespeed, 5 bonus damage, and has a “splash attack” that deals full damage to all units around the primary target.

A Blue Dragon gives additional 25 movespeed, 14 bonus damage, and has an “extremely powerful frost attack” that deals half damage to all units around the primary target, plus 3 seconds of frost effect (30% move speed reduction and 20% attack speed reduction).

Both “splash attack” and “extremely powerful frost attack” affect damage to buildings.

Davion probably has the highest armor, agility bonuses, the longest-duration non-ultimate stun, all this making him one of the strongst heroes out there.

He can also performs very good as a tank, as his high armor and HP regen make him capable of slaying an entire team in provided with the right items (Satanic is a must).
