Although the DosPara name wouldn't ring any bells for most computers users outside of Japan, this manufacturer is well established in the Land of the Rising Sun, especially among gamers, the Prime Note Galleria VF being the latest addition to their gaming notebook line.

Built around a 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-560M processor and a 1GB Fermi based GeForce GT 420M graphics card, this 15.6 inch offering features a pretty slim and compact design for a gaming laptop, weighting 2.65kg together with the battery.

But this doesn't mean the Prime Note Galleria VF is light on features, since the basic configuration comes with 4 GB of PC3-8500 memory (expandable up to 8GB), a 500GB SATA hard drive as well as a DVD burner.

Of course that an SSD is also available as an option, so if you need the increased storage performance brought by going for solid storage you can do so, provided that you are willing to pay the upgrade cost, that is.

Furthermore, users also get 802.11 b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth and Ethernet connectivity, three USB ports, an eSATA port, a 1.3MP webcam as well as a integrated card reader.

If this sounds a bit too much like every other gaming notebook available out there, you would be happy to know that DosPara went that extra mile when it designed the Prime Note Galleria VF and went with an Full HD panel for its 15.6 inch screen, something that I would really like to see more manufacturers do especially for gaming and multimedia notebooks.

The operating system of choice is Windows 7 Home Premium, but, oddly enough, DosPara went with the 32bit version of Microsoft's OS, meaning that no more than 3GB of RAM memory will be available for use.

Unfortunately, we don't know if this will ever make it outside of Japan, the Prime Note Galleria VF coming with a starting price of about $1,078 (89,980 yen). (via techfresh)
