Dopod P100 - the GPS Enabled PDA

A new handheld is about to strengthen the increasing number of GPS devices on the market. Scheduled for release in Malaysia, the Dopod P100 is a PDA with integrated WiFi support and a SiRF 3rd-gen GPS chipset.

Measuring 109.7 x 59.4 x 17.6 mm and weighing 126 grams, the device is small enough to fit into a pocket. It features a 2.8 inch TFT LCD screen
which can display a 320 x 240 pixel resolution in 64k colors.

The Dopod P100 offers a lot in terms of performance with a Samsung SC32442X33 processor, 64 MB RAM and 128 MB ROM. The Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system gives access to Windows Media Player 10, which allows users to enjoy multimedia content, as well as Outlook for the management of e-mails.

Connectivity is achieved through Bluetooth 1.2, infrared port, USB and WiFi for high-speed data transfer. The battery lasts 200 hours in standby mode and up to 5 hours if GPS is in use.

The Dopod P100 will include support for English and Chinese languages
