These tips that I'm about to reveal will make you never feel embarrassed about the way you look or about a certain fashion mistake that made you look silly or just bad in the public eye. Lucky for us that Diana- Pemberton Sikes thought about how one can avoid such a situation and here are some
tips on how to always look good, no matter of the occasion or the dress code. Say no to:
1.
Wearing the wrong colors. You should adapt the color to your skin tones. Different colors for different skin tones. You might have seen that lime green looking great on that catwalk model but that doesn't necessarily mean that you'll look great in it. In fact, you might look just awful as a certain color could make you look pale, sallow or washed out. Also, try to wear the colors that suit you and not what's trendy but doesn't work well for you.
2.
Wearing a size too small. Many of you may have the tendency to buy clothes that are a size too small driven by the desire of looking thin. Well, it does not work! You will look overfed and c'mon, how uncomfortable are you willing to be just to have the impression that your extra doesn't show? When we feel uncomfortable, you will definitely look accordingly which is not good. Not good at all!
3.
Inappropriate make-up. As you wear different clothes for different activities or events, the same way you must wear the right make-up for those occasions. It is easy and I bet most of you know this: the make-up must be light in day-time, heavier in the evening and sheer for sports and other physically demanding activities. Give up the Cleopatra eyes and start checking out the nowadays make-up techniques.
4.
Wearing the wrong color of hose. Now, that's an issue that needs to be discussed. You can look taller and trimmer if you choose the right color of your hoes and if you match that with the color of your shoes and hem, but mostly to the one of your shoes. And what about those black hose? I have to say that women usually wear those to hide an imperfection. But if your entire outfit is not black, then go for another color because otherwise, instead of diverting attention from your flaws, you will attract it.
5.
Rundown shoes. First rule: if you plan on wearing a pair of shoes daily, then you should agree that a good pair is needed, even if the price is a bit higher. Those are money well spent! In case you buy them from the corner boutique, do not wonder why they didn't last, it's obvious that good quality costs. I'm not saying that only the most expensive stuff have quality but it is more likely that corner shopping won't bring a lot of "trustworthy" things. Also, take care of your shoes: polish regularly, use a felt tip marker on scuffs and to avoid any damage while driving, put a piece of soft carpet under your feet.
6.
Broken nails, chipped polish. That's a thing that all women should avoid, it's a matter of common sense. The basic thing is that you should have your nails clean all the time, or even trimmed. Just in case, keep a clipper and a nail file in your purse. If you're a business woman, stay away from the bright, sparkly colors and stick to the conservative ones. Remember to keep an adequate length of your nails, depending on your job requirements. If you work in an office, Dragon-lady lengths are off limits.
7.
Slips that show. Be careful with this one! It's not that delightful to offer others the wrong sight. For that not to happen, buy slips in different lengths and replace them once the elastic wears off. You'd better choose slips in the colors you wear most often.
8.
Underarm stains. Essential for this is to find the right deodorant. You might try a few until you find the appropriate one and you might also have to change it as your chemistry changes. If you perspire heavily, you might wanna try dress shields.
9.
Visible bra lines. Mhm…that's not that hard to avoid. Just be careful when you buy a bra so that it won't ride up in the back, slip of the shoulders and to offer you the needed support.
10.
Roots. That refers to the roots that become visible in the case of dyed hair. Keeping a certain hair color vibrant can be quite expensive because it requires regular maintenance. If you can't afford an allover color, try getting highlights. One more thing, remember to always match the color of your hair with the one of your skin, it is crucial.
So we're done with the advices. Read the above and think about it. Does it seem that hard? I believe not for those are some basic principles that should be very easy to follow. Now you don't have to worry about ruining your look 'cause you know what to do. Good luck!
