Dame Helen Mirren has a new movie coming out in theaters, “The Woman in Gold,” and she stopped by The Today Show on NBC some hours ago to discuss it. She also got very serious when Matt Lauer told her that she’s considered a bombshell.

As it turns out, though she’s flattered that people consider her a hottie, Mirren doesn’t like being called “sexy” - not because she doesn’t feel this way, but because she finds the word very limiting. There is more to humans than what is included by the definition of the word, she muses.

“It limits human qualities into this very narrow, rather mundane and banal little place, and human beings are so much more complex and interesting and deep and everything than that. I would wish there was a better word than that to express something deeper and richer,” she says.

She’s also embarrassed when Lauer asks her if she’s “conscious” that she’s considered such a hot woman, and tries to laugh it off, saying it would be strange if she was conscious of that.

While at the NBC headquarters, Mirren also stopped by Kathy and Hoda’s show, where she talked some more about the movie and her current Broadway play, and laughed about her previous appearance on Jimmy Fallon.

In case you missed that one, and with it, the chance to hear Mirren’s voice on helium, I will include the video for it too as well. Enjoy!
