Having long ditched the pretty boy image, Jude Law is returning as a leading man in next month’s “Don Hemingway.” And what a crass, rude, and absolutely captivating leading man he makes!

The first trailer for the film has been released and, as usual, you can see it in full above.

Dom Hemingway (Law) is an ex-con who is released from prison after doing time for someone else, i.e. his boss (Demian Bichir).

Once out, the two are reunited and, Dom hopes, big things will come his way because he has many debts to collect. Sadly, he’s wrong.

As he struggles to come to terms with post-prison life and make some sense of it all, Dom is accompanied on his journey by his good friend (Richard E. Grant) and his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke).

The siren in the trailer is model Madalina Ghenea, Gerard Butler’s ex-girlfriend, in case you were wondering.

“Dom Hemingway” opened at TIFF to excellent reviews (mostly for Law’s performance), and will arrive in UK theaters on November 5, and on April 4 in the US.
