Dolphin Browser, the company behind one of the most popular navigation applications in the Google Play Store, has made available for download a new browser for the owners of Android-based devices.

Dubbed Dolphin Zero, it arrives as a streamlined mobile browser for Android, aimed at ensuring that users’ privacy information is kept as safe as possible.

For that, the application was designed to automatically delete data such as browsing history, cache, passwords, and cookies, so as to prevent the device from saving them.

Dolphin Zero comes as a version of the company’s award-winning app, providing users with complete control over the information they are browsing.

“The stripped-down feature set and single-screen capability maximizes the browser’s ability to protect users’ privacy by automatically deleting any information and data when the user exits the browser,” the company explains.

“Dolphin has partnered with other companies devoted to privacy – DuckDuckGo as the default search engine, for example – to make sure any integrated services comply with Dolphin’s mission of offering an ephemeral experience.”

The company also notes that its application, specifically designed from the ground up to increase privacy, comes with Do Not Track support, and it will never collect, store, or share user information.

Users can rest assured that the browser will keep secure info such as Form Data, Browser History, Passwords, Cached Data and Files, Favicons, Input Data, User Address Book, Cookies, and Location Information.

“With web security being such a salient issue right now, people are feeling less and less confident that companies are respecting user privacy,” said Dolphin’s VP Edith Yeung.

“Even though it’s impossible to go completely untracked on the mobile web, we have done everything to make a new product that goes beyond anything that you will find in the market right now. With Dolphin Zero, we do everything in our power to make the browsing experience your own.”

You can download Dolphin Zero for Android from Softpedia today, for free. The application is available as version 1.0.0 at the moment, and offers support for all devices running under Android 2.2 and newer platform releases.
