Dolphins are known to help humans every once in a while. Just check out a couple of episodes from the hit-series “Flipper” and you'll get the gist of such collaborations. However, it looks like dolphins are also ready and willing to help anxious two-legged creatures sort out their emotional troubles.

Precisely a week ago, a dolphin at SeaWorld in Orlando, Florida, helped a man named Alex propose to his girlfriend of three years, Debbie.

I'm guessing the dolphin did this either because it was born an incurable romantic, or maybe because it has spent a tad too much time watching cheesy movies over the past few years and has grown quite fond of big, romantic gestures.

HuffPost tells us that, while the couple was swimming around with dolphins, one of the marine creatures brought a special buoy to Debbie, which read as follows: “Debbie, will you marry me?”

The dolphin was trained in advance to do so, and seemed eager to help Alex sweep Debbie of her feet.

Luckily for Alex, Debbie didn't think that the dolphin was the one proposing to her, and said “yes” to the right person.
