The team that developed the original Dolphin Browser has just announced the release of Dolphin Browser (preview), which is available for download for devices running on the Android 1.6 platform.

The new application brings new features and fixes for many bugs and issues that were reported by users of the original Dolphin Browser.

Before releasing a full stable version the Dolphin Team launched a preview version of the upgraded browser, which will be improved step by step based on the users' feedback.

The final version will probably include more new added features and bigger changes than the preview.

Dolphin Browser (preview) comes with a new fresh UI and a new Page management menu, which is placed beside the address bar.

Other features introduced include: Scrollable menu design, Brief settings and Unlimited tab switch.

Some of the fixed bugs include: Force close issue with fan menu, Force close issue with adding bookmarks, Force close issue when you clear location access, Blank page of the Windows.

Users of both version of the application, Dolphin Browser and Dolphin Browser HD have reported that the original is much faster than the enhanced version, which is only available for devices running on the Android 2.0 and above platforms.

However, the original Dolphin Browser misses lots of features and functions compared with the HD version, so users should take this into consideration when choosing between the two.

Some of the features that are missing in the original browser include, but are not limited to: double tap to switch between normal and fullscreen, Bookmarks sync between the original and HD version, cache to SD card, long press to save images and support for synced Chrome bookmarks.

Nevertheless, the Dolphin Team has received a lot of feedback from the users and is taking into consideration the introduction of the above mentioned features.
