Dolphin Browser Pushes Bookmark Sync Add-on out of Beta

A new version of the new Bookmark Sync add-on for Dolphin Browser is now available for download, pushed out via the Android Market, as the software came out of beta.

The add-on was initially released a few weeks ago via Dolphin Browser's servers in a beta state, with support for the Dolphin HD 6.2 flavor of the browser, also in beta at the time.

However, the Dolphin Browser HD 6.2 came out of beta a few days ago, and the company has made available the stable version of the Bookmark Sync add-on as well, just as promised.

The main purpose for the new software is to enable users easily sync their Dolphin bookmarks across various devices on which the mobile browser is installed.

“Bookmark Sync is an Add-on to sync your Dolphin bookmarks,” the company explains.

“If you need to transfer bookmarks between different devices, or backup bookmarks before re-installing and updating Dolphin HD, Bookmark Sync will be the one you are looking for.”

At the moment, the new add-on is available only for the Dolphin Browser HD 6.2, the company announced.

The software currently includes only a small number of features, but more of them will arrive in the near future.

It should also be noted that those who would like to use the Bookmark Sync add-on will need Dolphin Browser account. Here's what users will need to do:

1. Open Bookmark Sync, click “Create Account”.
2. Input your email address and a password for creating a Dolphin account. Please make sure that the email address you input is correct.
3. Go to your email inbox to activate your Dolphin account. You should activate your account within 30 days, or the link will expire and you cannot use this service.
4. Go back to Bookmark Sync after inactivating your Dolphin account.
5. Choose “Manual” or auto-sync duration time, then click “Sync Now”

Those who will download and install the new add-on should provide the development team with feedback on the experience they receive from it, so that more improvements and enhancements are added to it.
