The latest addition to the Dolphin's team apps catalog is called Dolphin Browser Mini and is the third browser launched by the developer. Initially named Dolphin Browser Preview, the Dolphin Browser Mini is aiming at providing a faster user experience for users that own Android 1.6 smartphones

Dolphin Browser Mini is also available for newer iterations of Google's platform and can be considered the mini version of Dolphin Browser HD and the upgrade version of Dolphin Browser.

For those that are not aware of Dolphin's browser portfolio, Dolphin Browser HD is the most powerful browser among the three and target mid- to high-end devices that are able to run on Android 2.0 or newer platforms. It is also the first Android browser that supports add-ons that make it customizable.

The original Dolphin Browser is the first version of the browser developed by the Dolphin Team, thus it has been built on an earlier Android 1.6 engine. It is compatible with smartphones running Android 1.6 or higher.

Dolphin Browser Mini brings new features and enhancements, such as:

New fresh UI; Speed through the web: the browser is faster than most of other mobile phone browsers; Infinite tabs browsing: users can open any number of tabs when browsing since there is no limitation on the amount; Innovative Menu design (tool box), which will be improved in the final version.

Dubbed as Preview2, the latest Dolphin Browser Mini is still a work in progress, so future beta iterations of the browser will be released in the near future. The first beta version of the browser was launched 3 weeks ago and it was called Dolphin Browser Preview.

Users that installed the original Dolphin Browser Preview are required to uninstall it before trying out the latest Dolphin Browser Mini. Dolphin Browser Mini can be downloaded for free from Softpedia.
