The world of fashion just wouldn't be the same in the absence of the make-up industry, which makes products that are definitely the compulsory “it” to complete and embellish even the most exquisite gown. With these in mind, Dolce & Gabanna, a name that no longer needs a presentation, is about to release in January a brand new make-up line, coming to complete (or compete with) the already successful clothing and fragrance collections.

In order to maintain the same high standards they stand up for, the two designers have collaborated for the past couple of years with the reputed Procter & Gamble Prestige Products, the producer of the new born D&G-branded “baby.” Pat McGrath, also one of a kind in her branch, offered a friendly helping hand and some competent beauty advice, as she usually does backstage of every of Dolce & Gabbana fashion show.

The spring make-up line branded by the two is nothing short of a well kept secret, but, of course, that does not mean this will stop well-intended gossipers from doing their thing. So, these days, the most debated issue related to the upcoming launch seems to be the burning question of who will be the brand’s new face. Jessica Alba is believed to be among the finalists, but no one knows for certain if that be the case or not, as Hollywood has plenty of other gorgeous young, fresh starlets that could be picked to do the honors.

Recent updates have also nominated Scarlett Johansson to fill in the position, as she's been spotted several times donning D&G garments, one of the actress’ many fashion addictions. Either way, what a genuine fashionista and beauty devotee could really desire from D&G now is that the upcoming make-up line be as great as the perfumes – and maybe not hugely expensive in these dire recession times.

More on this is still to come, and hopefully this late Christmas present will be worth waiting.
