14 DAY TRIAL // For quite some time now, a three-year-old dachshund named Remy has been looking after an orphaned baby kitten named Alvin, whom she treats just as if it were her son.
The owners explain that, when they first found Alvin, who was left in a box near a recycling plant in Kernersville, North Carolina, they really did not think he would make it, seeing how the young kitten was in very poor health.
However, their family dog decided to adopt the newcomer, and soon even started producing milk in order to feed it properly.
Interestingly enough, Remy never had puppies before, which means that all of her motherly actions were driven by instinct and not by experience.
Remy and Alvin's story first hit the online community a couple of days ago, and most people agree that the bond between this rather young pooch and her adoptive son is heartwarming, to say the least.
