The same cybercriminals have also targeted other Dogecoin-related services

Bitcoin is not the only virtual currency targeted by cybercriminals. A couple of days ago, users of Dogewallet.com, a wallet service for Dogecoins, a Litecoin-derived cryptocurrency that’s worth around $0.00059, started reporting thefts.

Millions of Dogecoins have been stolen by cybercriminals. The service’s representatives say they’ve already refunded millions, but there are still some people who haven’t been refunded. Dogewallet.com has around 30,000 customers.

Logs have revealed millions of attempts to hack into Dogewallet.com systems.

“Specifically, the attack originated from the hacker gaining access to our filesystem and modifying the send/receive page to send to a static address. We're currently reviewing logs for information. The site is shut down right now,” Dogewallet administrators stated.

This means that the cybercriminals have managed to divert all transactions to their own account.

The same group of hackers is also said to be responsible for attacks on instadoge.net, another online Dogecoin wallet, and Doge House, a Dogecoin mining pool.
