Dog Surf-A-Thon Coming This Weekend to California

For quite some time now, dogs who enjoy surfing gather round – together with their owners, of course – at Del Mar Dog Beach, California, to take part in a surf-a-thon.

This year, the competition started just this morning, 8.30 a.m. PST / 11.30 a.m. EST, and its organizers went trough the trouble of making sure those who cannot actually be there can watch everything online.

It may very well be that the dogs taking part in this surf-a-thon stand to have the time of their lives, yet orphaned animals are also to benefit, as this event is actually meant to help raise the funds needed to look after them.

“There are many ways to help raise money and participate in this family friendly fundraiser,” explain the organizers.
