Each year, a pet insurance company hands out an award for the most outrageous claim it got to hear throughout the past twelve months.

As sources report, the online community is expected to decide which pet gets to take the prize home.

This year, one dachshund-terrier mix named Peanut is expected to duel a Labrador going by the name of Bayley for said award.

Apparently, whilst Peanut managed to get itself buried alive by a skunk (unfortunately, no information on how it was exactly that that happened is made available), Bayley ran straight into a 55-gallon aquarium and pretty much broke it into myriads of bits and pieces, leaving countless turtles without a home.

Other contestants overdosed on human meds and went for a joyride carefully tucked away next to the car's alternator belt.

Just for the record, 2011's winner was a dog that ate about 100 rocks and then got rid of them... the natural way.
