Fans take a stand

I don't know if you've played NHL2k7 and noticed this, but - apparently - it has subliminal advertising. At least that is what babepenguin of Evil Avatar forum thinks.

Normally, I wouldn't report what some forum "nobody" thinks, but this seemed quite interesting and intriguing. From what I can tell, he is stunned with the number of Dodge in-game advertisements. He mentions the Dodge Check of the Game, the Dodge logos present in the middle in the skating rink and Dodge written in the end boards. So far so good; no subliminal adverts here.

To explain the "subliminal" advertising stigmata he reminds of an Dodge TV commercial, and its tagline "SWEEET". He says that he can hear this tagline yelled out by the crowd present in the game and it has become annoying. If you were to ask me, this indeed is subliminal advertising, as this kind of messages reach your brain unconsciously and stay there.

If it were up to me, I would ban any kind on in-game advertising, as is not fair to pay some US$ 50-60 for a game, and then to be flooded by commercials. On top of that, they also introduce some adverts that are just on the subliminal fine line.
