Fans of the Doctor Who franchise will rejoice to hear that the BBC, the organization that owns the rights to the franchise, stated that it would be launching Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock in March, on the PlayStation 3 home console and on the PlayStation Vita handheld from Sony.

The developers also admit to be working on a PC version of the game, which is to be unveiled some time after the console release.

The first trailer for the video game shows mainly side-scrolling action and enemies, including the likes of Daleks, Silurians, Cybermen and the Silence.

The development team at Supermassive, in charge of the video games linked to Doctor Who, was asked specifically by the BBC to include the Silence, who had not been revealed in the television show at that point.

The creators of Doctor Who: The Eternity Clock have made some changes to the versions of the monsters that are seen in the television series to better reflect the original vision of the developers.
