While Patrick Dempsey got the nickname of 'Doctor McDreamy' for his part as Dr. Derek Shepherd in the ABC hit medical series 'Grey's Anatomy', he might see his position as the hunkiest man in the ward threatened by Eric Dane.

Dane ('X-Men: The Last Stand') appeared before on the show as the sexy Dr. Mark Sloan, aka 'Doctor McSteamy', but he left in the final episode of the season, leaving a huge impression on all the ladies that tune in to see 'Grey's Anatomy', by wearing nothing but a towel.

Now, the producers of the show have announced that he is to become one of the regular cast members, resuming his part as Sloan. It will be more than interesting to see how McSteamy and McDreamy will solve the issues that were left pending between them (Sloan was best friends with Shepherd until the latter caught him in bed with his wife).

The ABC spokesperson did not mention when will Dane make his first appearance on the show, but he did specify that shooting scenes with him has already begun. So there's not that much time to wait until he appears on the show, ladies...
