Yahoo Messenger is surely the most popular instant messaging client on the Internet because it provides more than a simple chat function. For example, you can communicate with friends, family or other users of the application using interesting features like VoIP abilities, webcam support, emoticons, audibles, conference chat, file transfer functions and many other characteristics meant to improve the chatting experience. The application can be used for free with a single Yahoo account and is currently available for multiple platforms such as Windows, Mac and several Linux distributions.

A few days ago, the giant portal announced an interesting interoperability added between Yahoo Mail, the mail solution provided by the company, and Yahoo Messenger that will allow you to communicate with your messenger contacts directly from the interface of the mail. The compatibility is similar to the one provided by Google for Gmail and Google Talk that helps you talk with your Google Talk friends using a nice chat implemented into the mail solution.

Although the giant portal already released the interoperability, numerous users reported they were not included into the testing stages so it seems like the implementation of the Yahoo Messenger in Yahoo Mail is currently just a private beta. Appscout posted an article about this new interoperability for the two services developed by the company saying that you'll be notified when you're included into the beta testing program.

The publication also posted images with a popup displayed by the notification that presents the following message: "Now you can chat from Yahoo! Mail. Mail and Messenger together at last!" So, if you want to communicate with your friends using the interface of the mail service, all you need to do is to wait and hope that Yahoo will upgrade the program soon to a public testing stage.
