Do These Glasses Make Me Look Fat?

Shooting for 'The Simple Life' reality series is going on at full speed. Of course, if you really must catalog this show in any way, 'reality series' would probably be the last category into which it would fit, especially when taking into consideration that the two main stars ('actresses', 'reality stars' or whatever you'd like to call them) must (must, I say!) shoot a scene at least a couple of times, until it comes out right. You know, because that's what we all do to make the happenings in our everyday life look more 'real'.

Anyway, this week's big scene was about the girls (Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie) going shopping and then catching a ride home... by bus! As if that is very likely to happen in their normal life! But that doesn't mean that they didn't make this entire fuss about it... because we, the regular folks at home, bored enough to tune in to see the series, have to see just the kind of stress going to 'work' implies. I was being sarcastic, in case you missed that last part, by the way...

As Paris and Nicole smilingly walked out of the store they practically ransacked, holding hands and acting as 'naturally' as their limited talent allowed them to, they were almost instantly surrounded by this crazed mass of photographers. But that's somehow besides the point I'm trying to make: instead of dwelling too much on the way Paris and Nicole 'earn their daily bread' (that's a funny thought, ain't it?), let's analyze this from a strictly fashion-related point of view.

Take the first picture as example: if you manage to ignore the green creature on the left (and I'm obviously not talking about that poor Chihuahua), you too will see just how skinny Nicole is. While I'm perfectly aware that we've been through this countless times, maybe we should all join forces and write some note or something to the 'actress' to make her understand that those bug-eyed sunglasses she is so fond of are NOT cool!

Sure, they're trendy and everyone's wearing them, but they're definitely making her look like one of those big flies we see in documentaries on Discovery. Doesn't this oh-so-important star have a stylist? If she's gonna force herself upon us (figuratively speaking, 'cause I doubt she'd have the necessary strength to have it any other way), the least she can do is look good while doing it! In this light, the second photo is totally the bomb: leaving aside the nice dress and the (for once) perfect manicure and hairdo, I almost had a shock when I saw that her glasses are almost making her head tilt forward for sheer weight. Really now!

Aside from that, these girls are the hotness! Paris is by far the most astonishing and intelligent human being that ever lived on this planet! Kudos to both of them for making it through another hard and exhausting day on the set and keep up the good work!
